In the last in person workshop we covered the topic of better decision-making.
Not All Decisions Are Equal
For routine, low-stakes choices, intuition or simple rules of thumb often work just fine. But as complexity rises — with more options, greater uncertainty, or ambiguous goals — or when the stakes are high and consequences lasting, we need a more structured approach.
That’s where decision frameworks come in: not to slow us down unnecessarily, but to help us ensure we have the right perspectives, to challenge our blind spots, and make choices we won’t regret.
Got A Decision To Make? W.R.A.P It Up

While there are entire fields of decision science and operations research dedicated to enabling better decisions, sometimes it’s not math that we need but a clearer way of thinking.
W.R.A.P (from Decisive by Chip & Dan Heath) is one such framework that while simple, is still a robust and versatile approach to decision making that works in a wide range of contexts whether it’s decisions in professional or personal settings.

WRAP consists of four-steps to counteract common decision-making traps:
Widen your options (to avoid narrow framing)
Reality-test your assumptions (to fight confirmation bias)
Attain distance before deciding (to reduce emotional noise)
Prepare to be wrong (to build in flexibility)
Insight Starts With Intention
Frameworks/Models/Theories are great but sometimes, the best way to learn is by doing - so here’s a take home challenge (a Tiny Experiment🧪 if you will…):
What decision—big or small—could you approach a little more deliberately this week? And more importantly, why?
